DTE Energy Scholarship

On September 10, 2013, the Foundation expanded its scholarship program with Susquehanna Consolidated High School to include a second scholarship for students interested in careers in business and technology. This program is carried out in partnership with DTE Energy and is funded by them.

This scholarship provides up to $10,000 ($5,000 per year for two years). The qualification criteria, procedures and time-line are similar to the university scholarship program with eligibility limited to students who have attended SCHS for at least three years and are in their final year at SCHS. An independent panel nominated by the CWOF chooses from a list of finalists provided by SCHS.

The 2015/2016 scholarship winner, Adam McDonald, graduated from the Lackawanna College School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Technology in 2017. He now works in the industry for H&P Drilling.








The 2017/2018 recipient, Shaun Anderson, graduated from the Lackawanna College School of Petroleum and Natural Gas in 2018. He currently works for Cabot Oil and Gas as a field operator.







The 2018/2019 winner, Lukas Marco, has graduated from the Lackawanna College School of Petroleum and Natural Gas. He is employed at WC Welding, a subcontractor for Southwestern Energy.







Anthony Dolfini, the 2019/2020 awardee, continues his studies at the Lackawanna College School of Petroleum and Natural Gas. He took up a summer internship with Southwestern Energy.







The 2020/2021 award was won by Austin Presley, the son of Barbra Presley of Susquehanna. During his high school years, Austin was active in sports and as a volunteer for the Susquehanna Fire Department. He will attend the Lackawanna College School of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
